Friday 13th December 2019 | 7.30 pm
Keble College Chapel, Oxford
Tickets from TicketsOxford or at the door
The message of the Christmas season – that a child shall be
born to save us all – is told first to Mary via an angelic salutation.
In our Christmas concert, we explore music associated with Mary
as the ‘mystic rose’, in carols ranging from the Renaissance to
the present day, including familiar masterpieces by Howells and
Bruckner, as well as modern classics by Arvo Pärt and Jan Sandström.
This concert will also feature the world premiere of the winning
composition from our Carol Competition
(to be announced in June 2019)

JUBILATE 25th Anniversary Concert
Saturday 21st March 2020 | 7.30 pm
University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford
Jubilate! The unequivocal instruction which gives our choir
its name – rejoice! We’ve plenty to celebrate in this concert
as we mark our 25th anniversary. And for music of rejoicing,
why look further than the Jubilate itself, the great 100th psalm?
An astonishing variety of music for choir, organ, and piano
will include stirring music by Walton, Britten, Pachelbel,
and Purcell, as well as a rare performance of
Amy Beach’s epic Festival Jubilate.
