JUBILATE is a mixed-voice chamber choir of about 35 voices. We are mostly professional people living or working in Oxford who enjoy meeting regularly to sing choral music to a high standard.

We give three main concerts a year in and around Oxford, and have performed in all the main Oxford venues, including Keble College Chapel, The Church of St John the Evangelist, The University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Blackfriars Church, Merton College Chapel and Christ Church Cathedral.

We are led by James Potter who joined us as musical director in October 2018.

We perform a wide range of music that spans from the Renaissance to the present day - we have often performed music composed by our erstwhile musical director Simon Whalley - but many of our programme choices are early music or 20th century British music. Visit our Repertoire page to find out more about what we sing, and have a look at the reviews we've received to find out what the critics have said.

We host occasional singing days, when we gather with friends of the choir to rehearse and perform a choral work in a local church. Recent singing days have focused on music by Tallis, Gibbons and Victoria, including a performance of Tallis’s Spem in Alium.

Our first CD, Incarnation, which features Advent and Christmas music, including works by our former musical director Simon Whalley, is available on request and at our concerts.  Please contact us if you would like more details.
